L’Eco di San Gabriele is a monthly paper magazine in Italian, published by the religious community managing the Shrine of St Gabriel of Our Lady of Sorrows (Isola del Gran Sasso, Abruzzi, Italy). It was founded in 1913 in order to foster the knowledge and spread the message of the young Saint Gabriele Possenti. Today not only is it the house organ of the shrine, but also an updated newsmagazine, dealing especially with family problems and concerns. Hundred thousand readers wait for its monthly issue to keep informed and inspired by its contents of social and ecclesial character. Subscribers are not only in Italy, but in the six continents. Wherever Italian immigrants landed (above all the Abruzzesi), they brought in their heart and conveyed to the subsequent generations the love and devotion for their young saint. The cultural and religious interaction remain strong, and the Eco is the connecting link that keeps it alive.
