Parliamo questo mese dell’animale presente sullo stemma degli Stati Uniti: l’aquila calva. The US Seal containing the bald eagle was accepted by Congress in 1782 and officially became the national symbol in 1789. The eagle was the chosen animal probably because ever since ancient times it has been a symbol of strength and power. Eagles are also birds that fly very high and therefore well represent freedom, one of the founding principles of the Declaration of Independence.
